Music Making A Difference….
WHO ARE WE?
MUSICvCANCER (MvC) is a registered charity which is run entirely by volunteers and has gained support from some of the world’s leading musicians who together have joined forces to harness the POWER of MUSIC to fight CANCER.
We currently raise funds in the following ways:
OUR AIM
The goal is simple; raise awareness of cancer symptoms amongst as many people as possible in the hope of saving lives. Awareness is key! In addition to our awareness campaigns we also fund vital cutting-edge cancer detecting machinery and cancer initiatives within the NHS. We have already helped pay for vital machinery to help detect the early stages of bowel & bladder cancer and will continue our fund-raising drive to buy more vital equipment for various cancers.
HISTORY
MUSICvCANCER was founded by Tony Larkin in 2012 (following on from work with Support Your Bowel from April 2010), after he was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer himself in Sept 2009. The good news is that Tony has since been given the all clear. MUSICvCANCER continues to go from strength to strength staging many Live Sessions and has also obtained 100’s of pieces of signed music memorabilia.
